Instructor Jeanetta Thomson
I started Jujitsu in 1975 where I trained in the Sunnyside Ju-Jitsu Club until my husband and instructor opened a club in Kilner Park, Pretoria. I trained there until I graded for Shodan. I then opened my club in Garsfontein, Pretoria in 1985. I specialised in training juniors.
I am currently Godan (5th Dan). I have been very involved in the mangement of various Ju-Jitsu organisations subce 1975. I was the secretary to the South African Ju-Jitsu Federation (SAJJF) and Gauteng North Ju-Jitsu Council (GNJJC). I was also Chairman of the Gaunteng North Ju-Jitsu Council and interim Chairperson to the South African Sport Ju-Jitsu Authority (SASJJA).
In 1992 I was part of the team to take part in Argentina where I received my national colours. In 2002 the ISJA tournament took place in South Africa where I was the team manager. The event was organized by the SASJJA.
